''Nothing is as changeable as a young man's heart. Take hope and warning from that.''
- Mrs. Patmore
Main model
The set depicts the old Highclere Castle; well-known from British historical drama television series - Downton Abbey! Next year this series will celebrate its 15th anniversary!
Highclere Castle is a beautiful and majestic architectural monument in itself. However, it is also decorated with the interior and its picturesque rooms. I tried to depict them in the spirit of the TV series, i.e. the period so that the design imitates the 20s of the 20th century.
The model contains main entrance with corridor, 5 main rooms and 6 smaller rooms. Since all the rooms were never shown in the series, 5 of these smaller rooms can be designed by each builder according to his imagination.
Rooms are full of details and accesories. I make them more accessible for playing/displaying the Minifigures and replaying individual scenes. You can find here a variety of equipment design as different types of chairs, tables, lamps, clocks etc.

Little bonus
Part of the set is also Lady Mary's bench! This little bonus represents the place where many iconic couples met. There were many romantic scenes and beautiful deep conversations. I wanted to breathe the spirit of the place into the model, so I chose a heart-shaped plate and decorative bench handles.
If you love the series as I do or are a fan of British architecture and fashion of the last century, then don't hesitate to support the model with your vote! The fate of Downton Abbey is in your hands!
